Hello, this is my first both post and gallery entry on the forum so I would like to warmly greet everyone.

I submit a few images I've been working on for the last few months. It's my graduation project on architectural studies. Images show a concepts of conference centre and government building planned in one of the cities in Poland.

I didn't really had much experience in archviz type of artworks when I was starting, so I wanted to try playing with different mood, daytime, and see what I can get. Hope it looks good and You'll enjoy watching :)

And the technical issues:
Basic building mesh was modelled and exported from ArchiCAD, all other stuff I made in Blender. Renders were done in Octane, and had quite a lot of post-process in Photoshop. Base resolution was something round 3k px X 2k px because the images were going to be printed in large format. Scenes had from 5 to 7 milion of tris, depending from the view. GPU used for rendering - GTX 280 and GTX 460 with +- 1700 and 2000MB of ram.

I haven't been posting anything for quite a long time, so I decided to show some of the commercial renders I've made recently - it's railway sleepers impregnation plant located in western Poland.

My task wast to create and render the whole facility in visually attractive way, modernize and refine some of the existing elements and also create the ones which are planned to be built in near future. Deadline was pretty tight - only two weeks in which I had to collect photo references from the site, model almost everything from the scratch and then render in "ready for big size print" format.

I had one colleague who helped me modeling all this little details like wooden/metal crates etc. Trucks come from Archmodels 55 and vegetation from

To be more technical: all the modeling was done in Blender 2.56, then exported to Max 2011 and rendered in V-ray. Vegetation was scattered using Forest Pack plug-in. Before optimization scene had about 10 million polygons, but I had quite a big problem to render it after adding hundred's of thousands proxy vegetation models, so I had to spend some time on re-modeling and converting most of the elements to proxy meshes.

Final renders had 4200 x 2700 resolution, computed on core i7 920, 3-4 hours per image. Post-production and passes adjustment done in Photoshop and After Effects.

Images have some drawbacks but I'm really glad I could finish this project on time. For me, two weeks were very challenging, mostly because I didn't have any experience with such big facilities before.
