Miqat Wadi Mehrem
Miqat Wadi Mehrem is a significant religious site located near Taif, Saudi Arabia. It is one of the designated locations for pilgrims to change into their Ihram attire before performing Hajj and Umrah. The project primarily serves pilgrims from inland Saudi Arabia (such as Najd) and other Gulf countries (such as the UAE). Additionally, pilgrims from far-off places, including Pakistan, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore, also change into their Ihram attire here.
At the beginning of this year, our team was commissioned to create the renderings for the comprehensive upgrade and renovation of this project. Each year during Ramadan and the Hajj season, thousands of pilgrims pass through Wadi Mehrem Miqat. To meet the immense demand during these peak periods, expansion and improvement are necessary to better manage the flow of people and provide adequate services and support. One of the main landmarks of the project is its mosque, which can accommodate a large number of pilgrims and provide essential religious services and facilities.
In addition to this project, we have actually participated in creating renderings for many religious buildings. This process has also given us some understanding of different religious beliefs. Despite the emergence of new attitudes and values in modern society, faith seems to still play an important role in many people's lives. Sometimes, it can even provide a valuable alternative, helping people find meaning and direction in life. When the chief architect of the Miqat Wadi Mehrem project communicated with us, he conveyed a phrase that now seems fitting to conclude with:
