Terrace recreated from reference
As I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, I stumbled upon some reference photos of a stunning real estate property that caught my eye.
I felt inspired to recreate one of the shots in 3D, and was determined to match every single detail, from the tonal range to the lighting composition and depth perception. However, I found myself struggling with one aspect - perspective. In order to achieve the same perspective as the original photo, I needed to use a 70-80mm focal length, shoot at a 16:9 aspect ratio and crop it afterwards to match the original aspect ratio. Unfortunately, this proved to be quite challenging to achieve in 3D, especially when considering the need for a larger resolution. Despite this, I managed to get a camera angle and aspect ratio that was similar to the original, and used a 30mm focal length to get as close as possible to the desired perspective.
I am extremely proud of this piece, which has become one of my personal favorites in my portfolio, and I am hoping to build upon this success and achieve even greater results in the near future.
